of Bulgaria’s National Liberation Day

A wonderful concert followed by light dinner and dancing. The biggest annual celebration for the Bulgarian community and our friends in New England!

SUNDAY, MARCH 3, 2019

Doors open at 5:00 pm, concert starts at 5:30 pm
Light dinner and dance party at 7:00 pm

ADVANCE purchase of tickets for the concert and party:
$26 general adult admission
$16 for children 6-18 and adults 65+ with ID
AT THE DOOR: $30 general admission
$20 for children 6-18 and adults 65+ with ID

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

  BULGARIAN FOLK DANCE ENSEMBLE
“LUDO MLADO”, www.ludomlado.com

Ludo Mlado is a Boston-based Bulgarian folk dance ensemble, founded in 2002 . Choreographers of the group are Pepi Petrov, a former professional dancer from the Bulgarian State Ensemble “Rodopa” and Marieta Mircheva, a graduate from the National School of Dance Art in Sofia, Bulgaria. By training dancers and showcasing performances, the ensemble endeavors to preserve and spread awareness of the rich dance traditions of Bulgaria. After 15 years of existence, Ludo Mlado boasts over 20 members and performs a vast repertoire of dance suites complete with authentic Bulgarian costumes. Ludo Mlado performs throughout the year at various community-based events, weddings and wherever Bulgarian music and dance can bring unique sensations to the event.
  CHILDREN FOLK DANCE GROUP "7/8"

The children's dance group “7/8” is newly found by Marieta Mircheva. It's mission is to teach children the rich Bulgarian folk-dance traditions, help them develop a sense of rhythm, meet new friends, and have many unforgettable moments!
Marieta Mircheva is a Bulgarian native who has been dancing and performing since the age of 8. By the age of 13, she had over one hundred performances and several European dance tours as a member of Folk Dance Ensemble “Zdravets”. In 1998, Marieta graduated from the National School of Dance Art in Sofia, Bulgaria with a major in Bulgarian Folk Dances. In 2001, Marieta founded the first Bulgarian performing dance group in Boston “The Roses”. Since 2004, Marieta has been a co-choreographer and performer for the Bulgarian folk dance ensemble “Ludo Mlado
  The Bulgarian Center of New England (BCNE) is a nonprofit organization, whose mission is to serve as a focal point of the Bulgarian community in New England and attract people from different backgrounds who have interest in the Bulgarian culture, art, history, and traditions.
